What we really need in order to cut airport noise is some of that secret Area 51 technology that's been developed based upon UFO technology recovered from the Roswell crash. Oops! I didn't mean to say that out loud...
I think what surprised me so much about the headline was that it appeared on cnn.com.

Once they state "in the distant future" they can pretty much say whatever they want. i.e. "In the distant future, all the worlds energy needs will be provided by harnessing the monkeys flying out of my ass"
The silly headline is appropriate given the content. It sort of warns the reader of the idiocy to follow.
